Taught by Dorsets longest running hypnobirthing practitioner. This workshop will cover what hypnosis is, how self-hypnosis techniques can keep you calm and relaxed in labour. It is designed for anyone who wants to explore the use of hypnosis in labour, is unsure of whether to complete a full hypnobirthing course, for anyone who has previously used hypnobirthing and wants a refresher & for anyone who read a book or bought info online and wants more.

This workshop welcomes parents considering having their baby at home & interested in hypnobirthing. Explore birthing at home & ways in which you can use hypnobirthing techniques throughout labour and birth. Enjoy a beautiful relaxation designed to prepare your mind for a relaxed homebirth. Birth without Fear
Designed for anyone experiencing fear about labour & birth, includes a lovely fear release relaxation. We explore the many reasons a women may fear childbirth, the impact that fear can have on the mind & body & learn powerful techniques to release fear, anxieties or worries surrounding pregnancy, labour & birth. Pain management in Labour
This workshop provides an in-depth insight into what causes labour pain & the physiology behind why labour is experienced differently by women. It will enable you to have a deeper understanding of how you can manage pain & have a more comfortable labour. We discuss all the pain relief options available in the hospital, & home environment look at effective techniques that you can use to enable you to tap into your body’s own natural pain relief.
Calm Mumma: Breathe, Relax, Birth Workshop
Explore the powerful effects of breathing & relaxation in labour. Learn more about the physiology of the uterine muscles & looks at the power of relaxation on the hormones & your baby in labour. We look at the use of positive affirmations, visualisations, breathing techniques, massage, muscle relaxation techniques & gentle body movements for labour. Gain the tools to keep you calm & relaxed throughout your pregnancy, prepare for birth nicely calm & relaxed.
Join The Birth Dancing Midwife for a birth preparation movement class that will support your labour and birth. The classes use a mixture of traditional and modern music to learn traditional birth movements, choreographed to maximise the repetition. Suitable for women from 16 weeks gestation, please wear loose comfortable clothing.
Anxiety Management and Self Care in Pregnancy
This workshop will look at exactly what anxiety is, how & why it can affect you & why you may be experiencing it. Learn powerful techniques to manage anxiety levels, self-care & emotional wellbeing throughout pregnancy. This midwife led workshop is designed to explore many ways in which birth partners can be supportive and feel included in birth. Learn powerful techniques to aid relaxation in labour including massage, practical tips, good supportive language to use and birth positions. Birth partners will leave this workshop calm, confident and empowered in the knowledge of how to support their partner in labour.
